TRICK OR TREAT!

Today I brought this drawing home and showed it to my girls. Kenzie liked it, but Kendyl thought it was really scary! We told her it was a picture of her going trick or treating with a monster, and she liked that even less. Finally, we decided it was Kendyl going trick or treating with Kenzie dressed up in a monster costume, and she was okay with that. I really like these big hairy monsters. They are the kind of monster I always imagined chasing me when I was a kid, so that might be part of the appeal. :)

I didn't realize that Makenzie's so much bigger than Kendyl. This is hilarious, Seth... I love the variation in size. Forget trick-or-treating... if I had a monster like this for a friend, we'd be getting front row seats at NFL games. I'd like to see someone stop us. The colors are great too... very nice, sir.

Really cool design. I like how it looks like a piranha mixed with a scottish terrier. Whatever it is, it is a nice mix.

Hey Seth, awesome work as usual! I love stopping by to see your artwork. Got any new anims to show? I just got done with Animation Mentor, had Gavin Moran as my last mentor. Know him at work?

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Brandon,

Yeah, I know Gavin! We're on the same animation team on Surf's Up. He is one talented guy. I'm sure you learned a lot from him.

As far as getting a look at my own animation goes it might be awhile. We're heading into the thick of crunch time and any extra time I have will be spent trying to stay aquainted with my family. Maybe in the spring!

As much as I adore the drawing, the story makes it so much better. Stupendous!

More class characters Seth. Your monsters remind me of the designs of a mate of mine, Richard Dolan, who used to work for WETA. He also designed the Domestos bugs for the recent ad campaign that won loads of awards. Do check out his character designs if you get the chance, am sure you'd love'em!
